We use the planning details you share to build more useful Themecations.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 15, 2026
Themecation helps people plan themed staycations, at-home cultural experiences, meals, activities, shopping lists, and shared adventures. To do that well, we ask for some information about what you want to plan, who you are planning for, and what kinds of experiences would be helpful, realistic, safe, and fun.
We try to use your information in practical ways: to run the app, generate better recommendations, keep accounts secure, improve Themecation, send emails you asked for, process payments, and support optional shopping recommendations.

We use the planning details you share to build more useful Themecations.
You can update account, traveler, and planning details, and contact us for privacy help.

We explain public sharing, AI assistance, and affiliate shopping links in one place.

We collect what helps Themecation work. This may include your email address, account details, itinerary ideas, preferences, trip dates, locations, household details, dietary needs, accessibility needs, and the Themecations you create, save, clone, publish, or edit.
We use AI to help generate Themecations. Information you provide may be sent to AI service providers so they can help generate itineraries, activities, meals, shopping lists, images, moderation results, and recommendations.
If you publish a Themecation or creator profile, that content may be visible to other users, visitors, and search engines.
Some shopping links may earn Themecation a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. If you need help deleting account data, contact hello@themecation.com.
Themecation is operated by Themecation LLC.
You can contact us about this Privacy Policy or your personal information at hello@themecation.com.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Themecation website, web app, future mobile apps, emails, and related services.
We collect information in a few main ways.
We may receive limited information from service providers that help us operate Themecation, such as authentication providers, analytics tools, payment processors, email tools, affiliate programs, product-data providers, map providers, or AI service providers.
Some Themecation features work better when you share details like allergies, dietary restrictions, accessibility needs, mobility constraints, religious or cultural preferences, family needs, or health-related limitations.
Be thoughtful about sensitive details. Themecation can use them to personalize plans, but you should avoid entering highly sensitive information that is not needed for your experience.
Themecation is not a medical, legal, safety, or professional advice service. If a recommendation could affect health, safety, allergies, accessibility, travel risk, or similar concerns, you should independently verify it before relying on it.
We use information to:
Themecation uses AI to help generate and improve content, including itineraries, meals, activities, shopping lists, images, summaries, moderation results, and recommendations.
To make these features work, information you provide may be sent to AI service providers. This may include your prompt, preferences, Themecation details, itinerary content, profile details, and planning constraints. In family or group planning, that context may also include household or traveler details such as ages, dietary restrictions, allergies, avoids, and related planning constraints when they are part of the planning request.
We currently use Google Gemini for core AI generation and moderation flows, and we may use different AI providers or routing systems over time to improve quality, reliability, cost, speed, or safety.
Plans, meals, activities, images, moderation, and shopping ideas.
Prompts, preferences, traveler and household planning details, and itinerary context.
Review recommendations before relying on them, especially for allergies, child safety, accessibility, travel, purchases, or health-related decisions.
AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, culturally shallow, or inappropriate for your specific circumstances. You are responsible for reviewing recommendations before relying on them.
Themecation may let you publish Themecations, creator profiles, or related content publicly.
If you choose to publish content, that content may be visible to other users, visitors, and search engines. Public content may include the Themecation title, summary or description, destination and theme labels, day titles and descriptions, activity content, hero images or hero-media metadata, shopping and grocery or prep items, sanitized outbound shopping links, and creator attribution when you enable a public creator profile or attach your profile to the Themecation.
You can unpublish or delete your own public Themecations where the app provides those controls. However, search engines, social platforms, browser caches, screenshots, or other users may retain copies or references after content has been made public.
We may use automated systems, including AI moderation, to review public Themecations before or after publication. We may remove, hide, limit, or decline to publish content that appears unsafe, abusive, unlawful, misleading, infringing, or inconsistent with Themecation's rules or purpose.
Themecation may recommend products, groceries, books, supplies, games, decorations, ingredients, or other items that could help you prepare for a Themecation.
Some shopping links may earn Themecation a commission at no extra cost to you.
As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
We may use product-data or affiliate providers, including Amazon Associates and Canopy API, to help generate or display shopping links. We may store shopping items recommended to you and may track link clicks or related activity to understand whether shopping features are useful, support affiliate reporting, improve recommendations, prevent abuse, and operate the app.
Themecation does not collect your Amazon username, Amazon password, Amazon payment information, or Amazon order details. We do not place Amazon orders for you. Purchases happen on Amazon or another third-party site and are governed by that site's own terms and privacy policy.
Themecation may offer paid features, subscriptions, credits, gifts, or other purchases.
Payments are processed by third-party payment processors such as Stripe. Themecation does not store your full credit card number. Payment processors may collect billing information, payment card details, fraud-prevention information, and transaction details under their own privacy policies.
We may store limited payment-related information, such as subscription status, purchase history, plan type, billing email, transaction identifiers, renewal status, and whether a payment succeeded or failed.
We may send transactional emails related to your account, login, confirmations, security, purchases, subscriptions, support requests, and important service updates.
We currently collect email addresses through account creation and through waitlist or newsletter signup forms on the marketing site. We may also send newsletters, onboarding emails, product updates, promotional emails, or research or interview invitations if you sign up or otherwise give permission where required.
We currently use Supabase email tools for account-authentication flows and Kit for waitlist or newsletter collection. We may also use providers such as Resend for additional transactional or marketing email in the future.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in those emails. You may still receive transactional or account-related emails when necessary to operate the service.

Some tools may collect information such as device type, browser, pages visited, interactions, approximate location, referral source, session activity, or identifiers. Where required, we will provide appropriate notice, consent choices, or opt-out options.

If you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify personal information associated with your account unless we need to keep certain information for legal, security, backup, fraud-prevention, accounting, tax, dispute-resolution, or legitimate business reasons.
Public content you published may be removed from Themecation when you delete or unpublish it, but copies may remain in search engines, caches, backups, analytics logs, screenshots, or other places outside our control for some period of time.

If we add in-app account deletion controls later, you may also use those controls when available.
